So I took the new microdrive out this weekend in 17F degree weather and had some fun. I ended up doing some photography at a ice race (will post some pics). I took about 1200 shots in under two hours. I normally only take about 400 a day, including images that I will stich into panoramic shots. So that was nice esp with having 3.75GB still left. The drive is noticably slower then the 80x flash card and there were times I reached for my other camera so that I could take more shots while the buffer on the D70 cleared. Oh shitty thing about the microdrive. It is not the same profile as the normal CF cards. It still fits in the camera fine, but the CF -> PCMCIA adapter that I have, has a smaller profile then the microdrive. So everthing goes over USB 2.0. Which as you know is not really fast enough to reasonably send 2GB+ of data over in any sane amount of time. Other wise I love the drive. B+
