Two waterfalls on the left. If you look closely on the right you will see a small waterfall poking through the snow.

That is a ground squirrel. A chipmonk is much smaller.

Emerald Lake

On the way to another lake we ran into this and were turned back because only two people had equipment to help the walk across snow. Just to the right is a fairly steep cliff. Not a far fall, but enough that we didn't feel safe.

This is a blurry picture of a marmot. It is here because this is the first marmot that I have seen.

There are many waterfalls on the hikes to alpine lakes.

Emerald Lake from a bit higher. I am going to try to fix the patch in the upper left and then make a print of this one.

On the way to Emerald Lake.

We sat a this point for a couple of minutes and figured out that the view is toward Sky Pond and what the various mountain names are. A very nice informational use of a map.
